    Ulm Multi-purpose Wood Stool

First designed by Max Bill, in collaboration with Hans Gugelot, for the Swiss Ulm School of Design to serve as multipurpose furniture throughout the institution. The first versions were even made in the school's workshop from found wooden boards.

The Ulm Stool (Ulmer Hocker), can be used as low, mobile seating or as a side table when placed upright and on it's side if you wanted storage underneath. Also perfect for a low reading lounge or casual dining area, can be stacked into modular shelves, and the built in, easy-carry handle can be used when lugging around books or firewood.

The impressive inset finishing details and perfect natural spruce finger joinery set the design off, it is sure to impress your know-it-all industrial designer friend.
